Mountain Teen Magazine is an exciting new venture for West Virginia teens, statewide.

If you are between the ages of 12 and 20, you can be a part of this journalistic project.

We are currently in the process of setting up our first editorial board comprised of students in Kanawha, Fayette, Boone, Clay and Putnam Counties. As the magazine grows, we will add more editors who represent other regions in the state.

We are currently running a logo design contest with a deadline of January 15, 2008. Please be sure to enter if you have an artist eye. The cash award to the winner is $300.

Stories are being accepted now also. The article must be about a West Virginia teen written by a West Virginia teen. If you need an adult mentor, we suggest you contact your school librarian or English teacher.
