RURAL COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
WEST VIRGINIA' S PROBLEM
Rural communities often have difficulties finding help and resources to solve their problems. When seeking funding for worthwhile projects, these communities often find that their size and isolation hinders success. Quality water, wastewater and solid waste services have been affected in certain communities due to lack of funding, these services should be provided to all West Virginians, regardless of where they live.
WEST VIRGINIA RCAP'S SOLUTION
To assist rural low-income and underserved communities in developing and maintaining infrastructure to provide the quality of life for rural residents in the Mountain State. The RCAP Program offers consulting services on water, wastewater and solid waste issues by Technical Assistance Providers through site vistitations, collaborative efforts with community leaders and coordination with federal, state and local agencies.
